All-New 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe At The Bangkok Motor Show

Only three months ago, Mercedes-Benz showed the world its brand new GLE-Class Coupe. Fast forward to the Bangkok Motor Show, the sporty SUV makes its official debut at the Bangkok Motor Show. The BMW X6 rival has a starting price of THB 7,990,000 (RM 898,951) (including 7% VAT) according to the Mercedes-Benz Thailand official site.

The variant seen here is the top of the line GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC, representing the first of the AMG Sport models that slot in just below the full-blown AMG models and above the AMG Sports package-applied Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Other variants include the GLE 350 d 4MATIC and GLE 400 4MATIC.

The GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC has a direct injection 3.0-litre V6 biturbo petrol engine that sends 367hp @ 5,500 rpm and 520 Nm @ 1,400-4,000 rpm through a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission and sends it to all four wheels via the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system.

A Dynamic Select system allows the driver to make select pre-configured settings for the chassis, suspension, steering, and powertrain from inside the cabin. The interior also receives various luxurious features as well with an optional 20.3-cm media display paired with Garmin MAP PILOT including an array of inputs that can replay audio through an optional Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround-sound speaker system.

Mercedes-Benz’s suite of of safety systems can be found here as well, including Adaptive Brake with Hold function, hill-start assist, Attention Assist, BAS Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ESP Dynamic Curve Assist, PRE-SAFE system, and Electronic Traction System (4ETS), and many more.
