AD: KLIMS 2018: Countdown To A World Class Motoring Extravaganza

We are just days away from this year’s biggest motoring event. Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018, or KLIMS’18, returns for its 9th presentation from November 23rd to December 2nd, 2018 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC).

Nothing short of a world-class motoring exhibition, KLIMS’18 will showcase the latest and most high-tech metal, ranging from concept cars to a plethora of new car launches and previews, bikes, commercial vehicles, and aftermarket product exhibitions.

Themed “Beyond Mobility”, KLIMS’18 places a special emphasis on electrified vehicles as the global automotive industry calibrates to changing energy, environmental, and safety influences. Therefore, KLIMS’18 also provides a solid platform for manufacturers to showcase their powertrain, mobility, and connectivity technologies in addition to their exciting new models.

Of which, these are just some of the highlights of model launches and previews visitors can expect at KLIMS’18:

KLIMS’18 also promises to ignite the public’s excitement by allowing them to get up close to with the concept cars such as the Toyota FT-1 and Lexus LS+.

Besides passenger vehicles, concept cars and cool two-wheelers – visitors can also check out a variety of commercial vehicle models that include trucks, prime movers, pick-up, panel vans, and buses. Among the highlights are Isuzu’s 1.9L BluePower turbodiesel engine, Tata Motors’ Super Ace small pick-up, and a one-of-its-kind 20-foot tall robot named “Tanker”, constructed by a local metal engineering company.

Our nation’s brightest minds, representing esteemed universities such as Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Universiti Pertahanan Malaysia (UPNM) will also be exhibiting their latest projects in automotive engineering and vehicle design.

Visitors to KLIMS’18 will also stand a chance to drive home a Toyota C-HR, a Honda City, and a Perodua Myvi. Every visitor entrance ticket purchased will stand a chance to win these exciting new cars.

Entrance tickets are now available for online purchase at AirAsia Red Tix with attractive promotions. Each online purchase of a KLIMS’18 entrance ticket is entitled to one entry of fortnightly draws to win AirAsia return flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Bali, Taipei, Jakarta, and Shanghai. In addition, every online purchase of KLIMS ’18 entrance ticket is also entitled to the grand draw of an AirAsia return flight to Tokyo.

KLIMS’18 opens from 11am to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults - RM20 (weekdays) / RM25 (weekends)
  • Students – RM5 (weekdays and weekends)
  • Children 12 years and below – RM5 (weekdays and weekends)
  • Family Package for families with up to 5 children aged 12 and below - RM40 (weekdays)/ RM50 (weekends)
