Nissan announced their latest all-electric vehicle, the 2023 Nissan Leaf, which has been given a facelift and some cool new features. Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) have announced that the 2023 Nissan Leaf will be officially launched this Friday (10 March 2023) with some exterior modifications and technological enhancements. Performance and charging Performance-wise, the 2023 Nissan Leaf still carries the same single electric motor with front-wheel-drive just like the previous generations that produces 150PS and 320Nm of torque. This translates to a pretty speedy 0-100km/h time of 7.9 seconds and a modest top speed of 155km/h. As for the driving range, the Nissan Leaf is able to cover a maximum of 311km (NEDC). The 40kWh battery pack can be charged via the fast charging CHAdeMO DC port up to 50kW. Full charge can be completed in just 1 hour. Alternatively, there’s also the AC Type 2 charging port that allows a maximum of 6.6kW which translates to 7 hours till full charge. An AC 3-pin charger (3.6kW) comes together with the car, but that will require 12 hours of your time to get it fully charged. Sleek exterior with 7 colour options Consumers are spoilt for choice when it comes to colour options, with seven two-tone colours to select: Stealth Grey, Akatsuki Sunrise Copper, Opera Mauve, Vivid Blue, Midnight Black, Burgundy and Pure White Pearl. The 2023 Nissan Leaf features a number of exterior upgrades that give it a more modern and aerodynamic look. The front grille has been redesigned with a full black aero finish, giving the car a sleek and sporty appearance. The lower bumper and headlights have also been refreshed with a new design that enhances the car's overall aesthetic. The new 17-inch 5-spoke wheels add to the Leaf's modern look and both the illuminated front and rear Nissan logos have been updated to give the car a more premium feel. Modern interior and enhanced safety features On the inside, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto while offering Bluetooth connectivity and Voice Recognition functions. Other updates coming on the 2023 Nissan Leaf include: Nissan logo on steering Intelligent Lane Intervention Intelligent Lane Departure Warning Intelligent Rear View MIRROR High Beam Assist This latest Nissan Leaf is priced at RM168,888 (OTR without insurance). This comes with a 3-year vehicle warranty (or up to 100,000km) and 8 years battery warranty (or up to 160,000km). Alternatively, as mentioned, there is also a 3-year subscription plan at RM1,800 monthly. The car will be officially launched this Friday (10 March 2023).
