There is a bump up in price between RM2k-RM4k across the range, with prices starting from RM94,949. The current generation Isuzu D-Max is a pickup truck that ticks all the right boxes and has proven to be one of the most capable, versatile and sophisticated trucks in the market today. As usual, Isuzu is always trying to improve its pickups, and this year is no different as the 2023 D-Max now comes with a host of new updates, completing its overall package even more. “Most of the updates made to this year’s Isuzu D-Max have been the result of the close collaboration between Isuzu and its dealers. Through an intimate understanding of our customers’ requirements, we are able to effect timely enhancements that meet the needs and desires of Isuzu D-Max users,” said Kenkichi Sogo, Chief Operating Officer of Isuzu Malaysia. 2023 D-Max Colour options One of the most notable introductions for the updated D-Max is a host of new body colours for the flagship X-Terrain and Premium variants, which include a new Islay Gray Mica. Both variants also benefit from a new shade of white – Dolomite White Pearl and Silky Pearl White. New too is the more brightful Biarritz Blue Metallic body colour, replacing the Sapphire Blue, available for the Automatic Premium, Auto Plus and Automatic Standard variants. 2023 D-Max grille, wheels and interior updates Headlining the D-Max's refreshed exterior look is its radiator grille which now features a dark chrome finish at the bottom and a metallic finish at the top. Its rims have also been refreshed where the D-Max can now be had with a six-Y-spoke dark wheels for the X-Terrain and Premium variants, and 17-inch six-spoke design in silver for the Auto Plus and Standard. Inside, the whole of the interior has been refreshed, where the pickup is now finished in a stylish black in most of the line-up. For the flagship X-Terrain, the new-look seats offer a more stylistic design, and the contrast of the new Café Brown finish on many of its soft-touch surfaces completes its premium feel. 2023 D-Max X-Terrain features update Apart from its fresh new look, inside and out, the X-Terrain now comes with a high definition Digital Video Recorder, capturing crisp footage from the front and rear cameras. The front camera is mounted neatly in the ADAS module and captures clear 1440P videos, while the rear records in high-definition 1080P. Videos can be saved to the onboard memory card or downloaded to the phone via an app. New too is the interior ambient lighting feature, where it lits up the footwells of the X-Terrain. Apart from illuminating the footwells when occupants enter and exit the truck, the blue hue adds to the vehicle's premium feel when driving at night. The convenience features don't stop there, as the X-Terrain, Premium and Auto Plus variants now gets an improved wireless charger that boasts a 15W output allowing for quicker recharging times. One of the best features of the wireless charging unit is also the fact that it comes with an additional USB-C port for rapid charging when required. Differential lock now standard across the range for 4x4 variants Great news for those who love to go off-road as the entire 4x4 range of the 2023 Isuzu D-Max now come with the added feature of an electronically-actuated rear differential lock. The Diff Lock offers additional traction when you get heavily stuck on highly slippery surfaces. 2023 D-Max single cab and 3.0-litre Premium Automatic updates Not forgetting to update the other variants, the Single Cab now comes with remote keyless entry access and a 12V power socket, while the 3.0-litre Premium Automatic variant receives a revised and beefier suspension set-up that’s configured to handle heftier payloads, increasing its capacity to carry payloads of up to 775kg, an improvement of 195kg from the outgoing model.
