Home News Auto News 2021 Perodua Ativa Launched - From RM61,500 2021 Perodua Ativa Launched - From RM61,500 Auto News Ferdinand | March 31, 2021 05:49 pm At long last, Perodua’s hotly-anticipated B-Segment SUV, the Ativa now celebrates its official launch. The Ativa debuts Perodua’s first-ever turbocharged engine and D-CVT gearbox, and for the first time will sit on a newly developed modular platform – dubbed DNGA. First things first, three variants are offered at launch at the following prices: Ativa X: from RM61,500 Ativa H: from RM66,100 Ativa AV: from RM71,200 All variants are powered by the 1KR-VET 1.0-litre turbocharged transverse-mounted three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 98PS and peak torque of 140Nm between 2,400rpm and 4,000rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT-type transmission (dubbed D-CVT) which sends power to the front wheels. Perodua claims an overall fuel economy of 18.9 km/l (or 5.29 litres/100km). This is how the Ativa measures up against it’s closest siblings, the Myvi and Aruz: Note, however, that while the Ativa was developed alongside the Daihatsu Rocky, it is actually approximately 80mm longer thanks to the redesigned body panels, specifically its front and rear bumpers. Other notable differences between the Rocky and Ativa is the Ativa offers a full-sized spare tyre in all variants, and a steel rear door, instead of the plastic rear door on the Rocky. Another crucial highlight of the Ativa is its active safety suite, dubbed ASA 3.0 which conforms to SAE Level 2 driving assistance functions through the inclusion of features such as active cruise control and lane-keep control, over its older ASA 2.0 system. Elsewhere ASA 3.0's are also more advanced given its more advanced detection hardware. The ASA 3.0 system is also notably more adept in night conditions than the previous ASA 2.0 system. ASA 3.0 standard features: Pre-Collision Warning Pre-Collision Braking Front Departure Alert Pedal Mis-Operation Alert Lane Departure Warning The highlight features of all three Ativa variants are as follows: Ativa X 1.0-litre turbocharged (1KR-VET) engine – 98PS/140Nm D-CVT transmission with sequential shift LED headlamps Combination rear lamps 16-inch alloy wheels Powered door mirror Rear spoiler Rear seat recliner Auto High Beam (AHB) 4.2-inch segmented LCD instrument cluster MID 9-inch Radio with Bluetooth 4 Speakers ASA 3.0 with LDW Stability Control with ABS Hill Start Assist Reverse Sensor Ativa H LED front foglamp Leather steering wheel Power retractable door mirrors 17-inch alloy wheels 9-inch infotainment touchscreen 7-inch colour TFT instrument cluster Auto Headlamps Sequential turn signals Front corner sensors Reverse camera Adaptive Driving Beam Ativa AV Dual-tone leather seats Tweeter speakers Safety tinted glass Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Lane Keep Control (LKC) Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) The Ativa is offered in five different colours – Pearl Delima Red, Pearl Diamond White, Cobalt Blue, Granite Grey, and Glittering Silver. The aforementioned dual-tone exterior colour is offered with the former two colours (red and white) exclusively for the AV variants. All 2021 Perodua Ativa's are backed up by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty. For all the information you could ever need on the Perodua Ativa, click here.
