2020 (C205) Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line Launched – New Engine; RM337k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the updated 2020 Mercedes-Benz C200 Coupé AMG Line that features an updated engine and improved infotainment functions.

The 2020 C200 is now supplied with the latest generation 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine as the (W205) C200 sedan. The new 2.0-litre engine replaces the M264 ‘EQ Boost’ 1.5-litre turbocharged engine which was aided by a 48V (13hp/160Nm) starter/generator motor. The new engine produces 204 hp and 300 Nm – 23hp up and 20 Nm up on the older engine.

The engine is mated, like before, to a 9-speed automatic (9G-Tronic) transmission which allows the C200 to achieve the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.2 seconds (previously 7.9 seconds), up to a top speed of 245 km/h.

Elsewhere, the C200 is offered with Mercedes me connect (MMC) – a communication module that allows customers to stay in touch with their vehicles from anywhere in the world, via their smartphones.

MMC offers newer features such as remote unlocking, remote engine start, fuel level checks, and customer support. Other features of the Mercedes Me Connect include Mercedes–Benz emergency call system (E-call), remote vehicle diagnostics, pre-entry climate control, predictive navigation, and parked vehicle locator.

Aesthetically, the C200 Coupe comes with all the trademark sporty trappings of the AMG Line which include the front grille, front bumper, rear bumper and 18-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels. On the inside, the C200 AMG Line is featured with an Artico leather interior, Nappa leather steering wheel, and AMG sports pedals and floor mats.

The C200 Coupe is priced at RM 336,129 (OTR without insurance, inclusive of current tax exemptions). Agility Financing options start from RM4,288 per month inclusive of added benefits such as lower monthly instalments, flexible end of agreement options, a guaranteed future value, and replacement car programmes.
