2017 Volkswagen Beetle Dune Launched In Malaysia – From RM179,990, Only 50 Units

At the sidelines of this evening’s launch of the all-new B8 generation Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen has also launched yet another limited edition variant to the Beetle range – the Volkswagen Beetle Dune.

It also marks the return of the 1.4-litre TSI engine to the Beetle range, which at the moment, is only available with a 1.2-litre TSI engine.

Under the hood is an updated 1.4-litre TSI engine that now pushes 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, the same unit that’s shared with the updated Golf TSI. Drive is transferred to the front wheels via a 7-speed dry-type dual clutch DSG automatic transmission.

Like the regular Beetle models, the RM179,990 (excluding insurance) Beetle Dune is imported from Mexico.

Limited to just 50 units, the Beetle Dune is differentiated by its Sandstorm Yellow paint, black stripes and side mouldings, a different front and rear bumper, rear spoiler, 18-inch Canyon alloy wheels, and a ride height that’s being raised by 10 mm more.

The Beetle Dune also comes with Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and front fog lamps with static concerning lights.
