2017 Toyota Camry Now Open for Booking. From RM153k

UMW Toyota Motor announced today that it has started taking orders for the new Toyota Camry.

The big news here is that the starting price of the 2.0E AT has decreased by RM2,000 from RM154,900 before to RM152,900 (OTR with insurance including GST)

And then, we have the 2.0GX variant that has replaced the 2.0G variant, and last but not the least, the Camry Hybrid 2.5 is now offered in two trim levels (Premium AT and Luxury AT) instead of just one.

While the Camry Hybrid 2.5 Luxury is similar to the outgoing Camry Hybrid 2.5, the Premium AT variant is cheaper by RM10,000. We are guessing that it will come with less features than the Luxury trim.

In case you're wondering if the new Camry is any different from the outgoing model in terms of specs and features, quite a number of things have changed. Firstly, the 2.0E now comes with VSC and 7 airbags.

And then, we have the 2.0GX which already had VSC before, but now it also comes with 7 airbags, powered rear sun shades, 17-inch wheels, as well as AVX audio system with reverse camera.  

As for the Hybrid, there are two variants now - Hybrid 2.5 Premium and Hybrid 2.5 Luxury, and the differences between the two is that the former doesn't have a few features that are fitted in the Luxury variant, such as the Automatic headlamps, Automatic wipers, Blindspot Monitor, Collapsible headrests, Electro chromic rear view mirror, 7-inch touch screen, GPS, footwell and inner door lamps, Bluetooth hands-free switches, as well as Rear Cross Traffic Alert. 

That said, below is the price summary of the new 2017 Toyota Camry (OTR with insurance and GST).

On another note, the Camry comes with a 5-year Warranty with unlimited mileage and 8 year unlimited warranty mileage for the hybrid battery.
