Home News Auto News 2016 Ford Everest Previewed at 1U Roadshow 2016 Ford Everest Previewed at 1U Roadshow Auto News Kon | April 27, 2016 11:40 am The Malaysian versions of Ford’s latest large SUV, the Everest, is currently on display at the Ford Going Further Roadshow happening at 1 Utama shopping centre in Petaling Jaya from today until next Monday, 2 May.Based on the Ranger T6’s sophisticated running gear, the all-new Everest is a multi-fold advancement over its rugged but crude predecessor. Power comes from the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder and 3.2-litre five-cylinder engines as featured in the Ranger.Two trim levels are offered for the Malaysian market as follows:Trend: 2.2-litre, 160PS, 385Nm, 6-speed auto, RWDTitanium: 3.2-litre, 200PS, 470Nm, 6-speed auto, Part-time 4WDOfficial prices have yet to be announced, but a salesperson we spoke to at the roadshow gave us indicated prices of RM200k and RM280k for the 2.2- and 3.2-litre variants respectively.The 3.2-litre model’s 4WD system features electronically switchable drive modes – 2H, 4H, 4L – and is complemented by a Terrain Management System that allows the driver optimize the driveline settings for Road, Sand, Snow, and Extreme Rocky conditions.The Everest Trend 2.2-litre comes standard with the following features:18-inch alloy wheelsFront and rear fog lampsHalogen projector headlamps, manual levelling adjustmentDual zone climate controlRear air-con ventsCruise Control, Speed LimiterFord SYNC with Bluetooth, USB, iPod connectivityFabric upholsteryDual frontal, knee airbagsParking sensors, rear onlyOpting for the 3.2-litre Titanium model adds the following:20-inch alloy wheelsAuto-leveling HID headlampsRear air-con vents with independent controlFord SYNC 2 with 8-inch colour touchscreen; Bluetooth, USB, iPod connectivityLeather upholstery and trimSide and curtain airbagsParking sensors, front and rear, plus reverse cameraAuto wipers230V power socketElectrochromic rear view mirror8-way driver seat power adjustmentPower folding third row seatsWe have yet to been officially informed of a launch date by Ford representatives.
