2016 Chevrolet Trailblazer Launched In Thailand

Chevrolet Thailand today launched the all-new Trailblazer seven seater SUV, which is basically the closest ‘sibling’ of the Colorado pickup truck which we have here. 

Featuring a redesigned exterior, an upgraded engine, as well as many new features, the Trailblazer’s price in Thailand is:

•          Trailblazer 2.5L VGT 4X2 AT LT – 1.2 million THB
•          Trailblazer 2.5L VGT 4X2 AT LTZ – 1.37 million THB
•          Trailblazer 2.5L VGT 4X4 AT LTZ – 1.47 million THB

According to Chevrolet Thailand, the new Trailbazer is the first SUV in Thailand to come with a remote start function, while other notable features include Apple CarPlay with Siri Eyes Free and windows that open slightly to facilitate door closing.

In terms of safety, the SUV comes with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Front & Rear Parking Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Trailer Sway Control, Anti-Rolling Protection and a driver’s knee airbag.

Powering the SUV is an upgraded 2.5L Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with Variable Geometry Turbocharger which has been tuned to offer better performance, fuel economy and lower emissions.

Besides the new Trailblazer, Chevrolet Thailand is also showcasing its complete range of products such as the new Colorado, the Captiva, SUV-C, and the Cruze sedan.

As for the Malaysian market, there hasn’t been any official announcement on whether the Trailblazer will be offered. But since even the previous generation Trailblazer didn't make it to our shores, don't expect the new model to come here. 

However, we can still expect the all-new Colorado to make its Malaysian debut in the near future as the model has been around for quite some time now.
