2015 Honda City Now Available In Dark Ruby Red Pearl Body Colour

Contributing up to 41% of Honda’s total sales in the first half of 2015 and leading its segment in the country, the 2015 Honda City is undoubtedly one of the hottest-selling vehicles in Malaysia.

Now, potential owners will be able to purchase their Honda City with a brand-new colour option, being a Dark Ruby Red Pearl – as seen in the pictures here.

The new colour option is available for all Honda City variants currently sold (listed below), and replaces the previous Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic as the ‘hero’ colour of the car – Honda Malaysia has also told us that the Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic is no longer in production.

This brings the total colour range for the City to:

• Dark Ruby Red Pearl
• Taffeta White
• Modern Steel Metallic
• Alabaster Silver Metallic
• Crystal Black Pearl

The update Honda Malaysia is introducing here sees no change to any other part of vehicle, which sees the City continuing to be powered by its 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine and paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

With an impressive range of safety features that include a total of six airbags (V variant only), Vehicle Stability Assist (E & V variants), the City wooed buyers with an amazing overall package that boasted fun driveability and unrivalled spaciousness. Remember when Honda’s chief engineers exclaimed the City to have more rear leg room than a Toyota Camry? They weren’t kidding.

Honda Malaysia says it is aiming to sell up to 300 units per month of its City in the new Dark Ruby Red Pearl body colour, and seems quite certain about Malaysians taking well to it.
