VIDEO: Angrier Version Of Mercedes-AMG GT Seen At The Nurburgring - Black Series?
Berita KeretaA more hardcore version of the Mercedes-AMG GT has been seen blasting around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany, disguised in the appropriate camouflage to keep prying eyes from being entirely sure about what it is.
This version has little indications that give away this Mercedes's more high performance nature: fixed rear wing, more pronounced wheel arches, side panel-mounted winglets, and larger wheels to accommodate larger brake discs, among others.
All this, as far as educated guesses go, points to a model that would sit above the 503hp GT S, and if history is any guide, what we could be seeing here is the Black Series edition – a moniker given to harder, lighter, more powerful versions of Mercedes’ cars.
Perhaps some bits from the AMG GT3 racer will find its way into this Black Series edition, although it most likely will retain the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 - predictably in more powerful tune, of course. From the sound of it, the GT3's sonorous M159 6.2-litre V8 hasn’t made a surprise return. Not that we’re complaining, the AMG GT’s engine is a masterpiece.
