Toyota’s New Store At The Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Has More Than Cars On Hand

Toyota has taken the opportunity to showcase some of its latest models by setting up a newly opened bespoke store in the one of the largest outlet malls in Southeast Asia, the recently launched Mitsui Outlet Park in Sepang. 

This ‘store within a mall’ concept represents a new leaf for Toyota to better interact with their customers and fans by increasingly blending the brand into people’s everyday lives. It helps the marque engage at a more emotional level, in a relaxed and premium environment.

Showrooms are limited in the way the transaction is handled, overall. But with this new retail store setup, Toyota is allowed more breathing room to make the experience more suited to each customer, walk-in guest, or sales prospect.

As well, the store also has on offer TRD merchandise to keep with its ‘Garage and Motorsports’ theme.

Of course, there will be the selection of Toyota Vios, Camry, and Hilux up on showcase, but for a limited period shoppers will have a chance to view a racing Toyota 86 which will also be part of the exhibit. The race tuned circuit stormer competed in last year’s Merdeka Endurance Race and will be racing in the Malaysia Championship Series 2015.

Speaking at the opening of the Toyota store at the Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang, Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “We congratulate Mitsui Outlet Park on the opening of their first outlet mall in Malaysia. Like Toyota, Mitsui Fudosan is a leader in its field and shares the same core values of striving to meet the needs of our customers.”

He also said, “Our presence in one of Southeast Asia’s largest outlet malls represents a new approach to better engage with our customers as we strive to maintain our No.1 position in the J.D Power Sales Satisfaction Index.” 

The Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang is a joint venture between Malaysia Airports Holdings and Japan’s leading outlet mall operator Mitsui Fusodan. Their complexes offers many genuine upper-middle and high-end branded goods at low prices. The outlet mall here was officially opened on 29^th July 2015, but had a soft opening in June.
