Toyota Introduces Limited Edition Yellow 86 For Japan, Readies For New Model

Between now until 30-September, Toyota dealers in Japan will be accepting orders for a “Yellow Limited” variant of the Toyota 86. 

Production for this limited edition Japanese market only variant of the Toyota 86 will begin in November, likely as part of a final hurrah run-out campaign before a new facelift Toyota 86 enters the market.

The 86 was first launched in Japan in November 2011, before going on sale in early 2012. The model expected to receive a mid-life facelift update sometime next year.

The 86 Yellow Limited comes with an exclusive Sunrise Yellow exterior paint, black painted side mirror, yellow 86 emblem, black painted wheels, yellow stitching on the Alcantara leather materials lining the door trims, dashboard, gear shifter, handbrake lever, and seats.

Other than that, equipment levels are the same as the highest specifications 86 GT Limited variant. Powertrain remains unchanged.

Prices start from 3.17 million Yen for the 6-speed manual variant and 3.25 million Yen for the 6-speed automatic. The standard 86 GT Limited model sells for 3.09 million Yen for the manual and 3.17 million Yen for the automatic.

There’s also an optional ‘aero package’ that adds a sportier looking lower spoiler at the front and rear bumper, a ghastly huge rear wing, side skirts, aerodynamic floor undercover, aluminium 18-inch BBS wheels, Bridgestone Potenza S001 tyres, higher performance brake pads, and Sachs dampers.
