Spyshot: Facelifted 2018 Toyota Hilux Already At Dealerships In Malaysia

This week has gotten off to an interesting start with images of the facelifted 2018 Toyota Hilux making their way to social media.

Shared on the ‘Yana Toyota Online’ Facebook page, the pictures posted were of the Hilux 2.4G 4x4 A/T variant.

According to the post, new features include:

• Redesigned front end (new lights, new bumper, new grille, new fog lamp design)
• New rear step ornament  
• New sticker design
• New seat material (Perforated Nappa Leather)
• Black interior roof
• New wheel design

Besides the above, the facelifted Hilux also comes with a new meter cluster with blue backlit fonts, blue backlit digital air-conditioning controls, as well as new stitching for the leather steering wheel.

Mechanically, things should remain the same as before, with two engine options:

• 2.4L 2GD-FTV Turbo diesel engine producing 150 PS / 400 Nm 
• 2.8L 1GD-FTV Turbo diesel engine producing 177 PS / 450 Nm 

Both engines are paired to a choice of either a 6-speed auto or 6-speed manual gearbox, and are offered with 4x4 or 4x2 configuration.

No details on the pricing or the number of variants available have been disclosed yet, but since the vehicle is already at dealership stockyards, the facelifted Hilux could be making its official Malaysian debut real soon.
