SPOTTED: Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Edition 1 Roaming The Streets Of KL, Launch Imminent?

It looks like during the recent KL City Grand Prix, KAHWENG’s Pictures, a social media account that captures high-end supercars in Malaysia, managed to catch this lovely image of a Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Edition 1 driving on the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

If you recall, during Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s 1H2015 Performance Media Briefing, we were told that a slew of new models known as the “Mercedes-Benz Dream Cars” will be making their way to Malaysia and the AMG-ified C-Class was confirmed to be among them.

Now, we can’t confirm if the model here is indeed a Mercedes-Benz Malaysia official unit but regardless, under the hood is a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine which is closely related to the one that is found in the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT, another “Dream Car” launched here not too long ago.

In the C63 S variant seen here, the engine produces 510hp and 700Nm of torque while the base C 63 variant makes do with 476hp and 650Nm. Both will hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h and are capable of sprinting to 100 km/h from a standstill in four seconds (C 63 achieves it 0.1 seconds later).

Of course, if two doors is all you need, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe was recently unveiled that packs the same performance capabilities as the sedan but in a more stylish, mini S-Class Coupe type package.
