Sections Of Sungai Gombak Bridge Open To Ease Congestion
Berita KeretaThe new Sungai Gombak bridge that links Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Kuching will be opened in several parts to road users starting from June 1.
Despite it only being operational on a single route direction (Cheras-bound), as Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib revealed to Bernama, it is expect that it will reduce traffic congestion in the country’s most populous city, particularly around Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

The fully realized bridge over the Sungai Gombak river will have two dedicated car lanes, one motorcycle lane, and two pedestrian walkways that links Jalan Kuching to the north.
Ahmad Phesal also said that work to improve the sidewalks around Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman were also underway and due to be complete in two months’ time.
