Renault’s 2021 Koleos Makes Malaysian Landfall, Now Starting At RM182k
Berita KeretaTC Euro Cars have just introduced the updated 2021 Renault Koleos to Malaysia, bringing with it some slight cosmetic tweaks, an updated equipment list, and a pretty significant price hike to boot.
Available in 3 variants, the new Renault SUV for 2021 is tiered from the entry-level Koleos at RM181,886 to the range-topping Koleos Signature Plus at RM206,887.
Sandwiched in between is the mid-spec Koleos Signature at RM201,087. Mind you, these prices are inclusive of the 50% sales tax discount, which will be in effect until June 30th.
Given that the outgoing Koleos sold here was already the most recent facelift, this newest permutation isn’t going to boast too many visual differences. There are 18-inch Taika alloy wheels, as before, and the same goes for the other equipment list bullet points.
The Signature and Signature Plus, though, adds a set of posher 19-inch Kavea alloys and a panoramic glass roof.
Interestingly, Renault have switched to reflectors over projector lamps for standard Pure Vision LED headlights, claiming a 10% bump in energy efficiency.
At the rear, the tail lights retain the same enclosure but the LED illumination cluster itself has gained a visible new 3D effect and sequential turn indicators.
Inside, both the Signature and Signature Plus variants have been fitted with new power-adjustable and ventilated Nappa leather front seats with cushion length adjustment, a wider, more comfort-oriented headrest design, and even a massage function on the driver’s side throne.
To match, the rear seats are also upholstered in this finer leather in Sand Grey, coupled with natural grain grey wood trim.
Insofar as the powertrain package goes, the Koleos retains the Nissan-sourced 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol. Its 171PS and 226Nm output is also unchanged, much like its exclusive pairing to the Xtronic CVT and front-drive layout.
