Reckless LaFerrari Driver In Beverly Hills Video Is A Qatar Prince

Remember the video where the owner of an exquisite Ferrari LaFerrari was seen driving recklessly in Beverly Hills? Well, according to the LA Times, the identity of the driver has been revealed as Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar’s ruling family. The report also points out that he will most likely walk away scot free as there is “no evidence that exists” to prove his crime.

Following the reckless actions of the drivers in the video, which you can watch again below, Beverly Hills police investigated the incident where Al Thani denied that anyone was driving recklessly in a LaFerrari and Porsche 911 GT3 at the time. He also said that diplomatic immunity meant no action could be taken against him.

After discussions with the U.S. State Department and the Qatar consulate, authorities concluded that the sheikh did not have such immunity, Beverly Hills police chief Dominick Rivetti said.

However, since the video went viral, Al Thani has fled the United States, police said along with the yellow Ferrari and white Porsche.

The lack of evidence is due to the police being unable able to verify who was behind the wheel in the video. “No one produced any evidence of who was at the wheel of the two cars,” Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. “The drivers weren’t visible on the videos or photographs.”
