Possibly drunk Porsche 911 driver rams into 3 parked cars (at least)

In the very early hours of Saturday, 28th January, several cars at the valet parking area of the IOI City Mall were slammed into by a driver in his Porsche 911 (992) after first crashing into a road divider and losing control.


In a video posted to social media following the collision, the cars damaged appear to include a silver Honda Jazz and Toyota Corolla Cross as well as a white Honda CR-V, among others.

PDRM officers arrived on the scene to control the situation, according to Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof.

The Porsche driver, a middle aged man believed to be drunk at the time, was reported to be travelling from the Le Meridian Putrajaya to Cheras. 

With 3 of the 4 car owners having recorded their statements to the authorities as well as blood and urine samples of the suspect taken, the case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.

Coincidentally, this particular bit of misfortune had occurred just hours after the 10-day Ops Selamat 19 had concluded at the end of Friday with the total number of accidents during the festive period recorded at over at 1,389 involving 1,711 vehicles according to Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Mat Kasim Karim.
