Next Generation BMW X3 Caught at the Nordschleife
Berita KeretaEver since the BMW X1 turned its engine 90 degrees and became transversely mounted, the next most nimble thing we could look towards is the X3. There's a new X3 that's slated to come in 2018, and it's nice to hear a 'traditional' BMW name amongst the various crossovers and coupe-rooflined things that BMW seems to churn out every quarter. While BMW has released very few official details about the car, what with it being a long way from launch, it has been spotted testing at the Nordschleife.
Beyond this, the good fellows at BMWBLOG have compiled whatever little people know about the new X3. It will sit on the same CLAR, or Cluster Architecture, platform as the current generation 7 Series and the G30 5 Series. It will no doubt be lighter and more dynamic as a result, and should sport the standardised range of petrol and diesel engines as well as some of BMW's newer gadgetry. There's also exciting talk of a BMW X3 M powered by the engine from the M3/M4, and this should no doubt be a hoot to drive. With the current generation X3 expected to end production by July next year, we should be seeing the new X3 by the Frankfurt Motorshow in 2017.
