The Mazda CX-3 has been updated for the second time since the compact SUV was launched back in 2015. The facelift that came in 2017 brought along Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control and some minor improvements including a new exterior side door garnish.

For the Mazda CX-3’s second update, the Hiroshima-based company has given its compact SUV a revised front grille and a new tail light cluster design.

Moving inside, Mazda has updated the CX-3 with an electric parking brake, freeing up space in the centre console, allowing the company to place a centre armrest there. NVH levels are also said to be improved thanks to thicker door panels and enhanced rear door windows. On top of that, the updated Mazda CX-3 also gets wider seats with new foam cushions for even better comfort.

But perhaps the biggest news is Mazda’s announcement of the availability of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in their models.

Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be first offered in the 2019 Mazda CX-9, specifically for the Canadian market before being rolled out to the entire Mazda line-up. For existing Mazda owners, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be available as a retrofit accessory for Mazda Connect systems.
