Naza Sponsors ‘Wheel, Walk, and Fun Run’ Event, Launches ‘Tambah Emas’ Campaign
Berita KeretaNaza Corporation Holdings was a proud sponsor of the ‘Wheel, Walk, and Fun Run’, an event that was organized by the Paralympic Council of Malaysia.
The ‘Wheel, Walk, and Fun Run’ event was held in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Close to 1,000 people participated in the outdoor get-together at the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Centre of Excellence, Kampung Pandan, last Sunday.
The event also saw the launch of the ‘Tambah Emas’ crowdfunding campaign, aimed at financing the development of para-sports from the grassroots level and preparing the national Paralympic team on their journey to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also the Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development together with SM Nasaruddin SM Nasimuddin, President of the Paralympic Council of Malaysia, and Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Minister of Youth and Sports launched the ‘Tambah Emas’ campaign.
Apart from being an event sponsor, Naza also provided a Vespa S125 scooter as the main prize for the lucky draw competition.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated widely every year to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, who is also Group Executive Chairman & Group CEO of Naza Corporation Holdings commented on the sponsorship, “Part of Naza’s corporate social responsibility is the investment in community development. As a corporate citizen, we are proud to lend our support to the Paralympic Council of Malaysia in their endeavour to bring the para contingent and para-sports to the next level.”
