Mercedes-AMG GT 63S Edition 1 Announced – 639 hp, 900 Nm

Prior to the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe in September 2018, the Affalterbach-based company will be offering an Edition 1 variant for a limited 12-month period.

According to Mercedes-AMG, the Edition 1 package is available exclusively for the range-topping GT 63S 4Matic+ variant, pumping out a massive 639 hp and 900 Nm from its 4.0-litre biturbo V8. From a dead start, the new four-door AMG GT model can complete the century sprint in just 3.2 seconds, before reaching a terminal velocity of 315 km/h. 

As for the cockpit, AMG Performance seats with nappa leather in magma grey/black with yellow stitching come as standard fitment, while the AMG Performance steering wheel will receive various yellow stitching and an Edition 1 emblem. More yellow highlights can be found on the interior, including the seat belts, stitching on the upper section of the instrument panel and floor mats.

Mercedes-AMG will launch the GT 63S Edition 1 at the ADAC Zurich 24h Race at the Nurburgring this weekend and the new model can be ordered from summer 2018.
