MBPJ Offers Free Shuttle Buses For School Students
Berita KeretaStarting from today, students within Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) area will be able to use the “PJCT School Bus” as transportation to and from their respective schools at no charge.
The free service will run along a 16km route interspersed with stops at 11 schools that include: Sekolah Rendah Agama Kampung Medan 1 and 2, SK Petaling Jaya, SK Jalan Selangor 1 and 2, SK Assunta 1 and 2, SMK Assunta, SK and SMK La Salle, Catholic High School, SK Alam Shah 1 and 2, SMK Sultan Abdul Samad, SK Sri Petaling 1 and 2 and SMK (L) Bukit Bintang.
As reported by The Sun Daily, Petaling Jaya mayor Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain said: "It will be available in the morning from 6.30am and no members of the public will be allowed to board the bus except for students in school uniform," Mohd Azizi said at a press conference after the MBPJ full board meeting, today.
Mohd Azizi added that the buses will begin their journey from the PJ South 3/2 bus hub and will end at the Taman Jaya LRT station.
