Lexus RX300 Special Edition Introduced – RM434,000

Lexus Malaysia has introduced a new variant of its RX300 SUV model. The RX300 Special Edition (SE), is priced at RM434,000 inclusive of SST; approximately RM10,000 more than the RX300 Luxury variant courtesy of additional Lexus accessories.

At the front and sides, the SE variant receives additional underbody panels which provide further protection from road debris and add a touch of elegance. The lower side mouldings are integrated with the new one-piece side steps on either side to aid entry and egress.

Higher up, visors have been installed on the tops of the windows, and at the boot, a step guard is installed near the lower edge of the rear door opening for additional protection.

The snazziest update is perhaps the Welcome Door Lamp which projects a Lexus logo onto the ground. Two other accessories included in the SE package are the Touch ’n Go reader/transmitter and a Digital Video Recorder (DVR).

The RX300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine (8AR-FTS) which produces 235 PS with 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.

With the addition of the Special Edition variants, Lexus now offers seven variants of its RX SUV range, which starts off with the RX300 Luxury at RM424k, to the RX350 F-Sport at RM521k; two other variants, the RX350L, and RX450 Hybrid are also available on a custom order basis.

All the accessories which come with the RX300 Special Edition are Lexus genuine accessories and are installed by trained personnel. As with all new models sold by Lexus Malaysia, there is a 5-year, unlimited mileage factory warranty.
