Lexus Malaysia Starts Order Taking For New 2015 Lexus ES

Less than 24 hours after news of the new, 2015 Lexus ES’s launching in Thailand went online, Lexus Malaysia have just announced that it has begun taking orders for the new ES.

As correctly predicted by Carlist.my yesterday, the ES line-up in Malaysia will remain unchanged, with three variants – ES 250 Premium, ES 250 Luxury, and ES 300h. The turbocharged ES 200t, powered by the same 8AR-FSE from the Lexus NX 200t is limited only to Russia, China and Taiwan, while the naturally-aspirated ES 200 base model, powered the same 6AR-FSE engine from the Camry 2.0-litre, is limited only to China.

There is a slight increase in prices, of around RM2,000 across the board, possibly related to the weakening Ringgit.

The Shimamoku steering wheel, available in some markets for the new ES, was not mentioned on Lexus Malaysia’s website, so that feature will most likely not be available here.

Below are prices (on-the-road excluding insurance) for the new Lexus ES:

• ES 250 Premium: RM259,200 (up from RM257,317)
• ES 250 Luxury: RM278,600 (up from RM276,690)
• ES 300h: RM355,100 (up from RM353,201)
