Lego Starts 2019 With A Bang With The Technic Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Following the super cool Bugatti Chiron and the James Bond “Goldfinger” Aston Martin DB5, Lego is back with yet another interesting model – the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

The coolest thing about the Lego Technic Corvette ZR1 is that it is a 2-in-1, meaning that you can either assemble it to be a Corvette ZR1, or turn it into a Hot Rod replica.

Comprising 579 pieces, the Corvette, which is significantly smaller than the aforementioned Chiron, DB5, and the popular 911 GT3 RS, comes with numerous realistic features, including a large rear wing, 4 tailpipes, black spoked rims with low-profile tires, a working steering, and also a detailed V8 engine with moving pistons.

Once assembled, the Lego Technic Corvette measures 8 cm height, 29 cm in length, and 12 cm in width, while the Hot Rod measures 8 cm high, 23 cm long, and 12 cm wide. 

Being designed with fewer blocks and parts, the Corvette ZR1 is also more affordable at under RM200. The much larger 3,599-piece Bugatti Chiron retails for over RM1,600, while the now-discontinued Porsche 911 GT3 RS can be purchased for under RM1,200.

The collectable also comes with an authentic orange and black colour scheme, plus a cool sticker sheet for additional detailing.

So, if you’ve been hoping for a Lego Technic collectable that screams ‘America!’ instead of the usual European models, this Corvette ZR1 and Hot Rod 2-in-1 is a must-have.
