KL-Padang Besar ETS To Start Running On July 10

Following the inspections by SPAD, the Electric Train Service (ETS) that stretches from the capital in Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar close to the Thai border will begin service from Friday, July 10. 

Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai told reporters after finishing a test run of one of the brand new electric trains between Batu Gajah to Kuala Kangsar that there would be trains departing for the northernmost route twice daily, according to report by The Star. 

"We have ordered 10 sets of the electric trains, and once they are ready, the frequency will increase," he added.

Fares from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar will be priced at RM81.
