Honda Civic Awarded 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating

The tenth-generation Honda Civic has been awarded the 5-star rating in the New Car Assessment Program for South East Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). The Honda Civic achieved a score of 14.74 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and a 4-star rating in Child Occupant Protection (COP).

The official 4-star overall rating (cover pic) was benchmarked using a Thai-market base spec Honda Civic 1.8E which is not supplied with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Seat Belt Reminder (SBR) systems as standard. The ESC and SBR systems are a pre-requisite to achieve the full 5-star rating.

Rest assured, all Honda Civic models sold in Malaysia qualify for the full 5-star rating due to the comprehensive suite of safety features which include ABS, EBD, ESC, six-airbags and ISOFIX top tethers on the two outer rear seats. These safety features are supplied as standard across the range.
