Berita Kereta

An 8-year old girl was flung out of a moving Toyota Estima and fell onto a Toyota Alphard that was parked at a used car dealer from a height of 15 meters.

The incident which took place on Saturday at around 5.40pm saw the 8-year old girl flung out of the Toyota Estima driven by her father. The NST reports that he was believed to have lost control of his vehicle, causing it to skid and hit the left side of the road barrier.

The impact from the accident caused his daughter who was sitting in the rear of the vehicle to be flung through the windscreen and over the side barrier, landing 15 meters below on a Toyota Alphard that was parked at a used car dealer.

The girl is reported to have suffered a fracture on her left thigh and was being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

We wish the little girl a speedy recovery.

The video below makes for distressing viewing so please exercise caution.

I won't speculate but I would like to use this platform and opportunity to once again exhort all parents who travel with children in their cars to buckle up! Child seats, booster seats, seat belts are there to make sure both you and your child get to your destination in as safe a manner as possible. If your child doesn't like the child seat or booster seat then explain to them why it is important and if they throw a tantrum and refuse to comply then tell them, unfortunately, we won't be going if you don't cooperate. I know what I'm talking about because I'm a parent to a precocious three-year-old.

So please, please, buckle up!
