GIIAS 2015: All-New Toyota Alphard And Vellfire Debuts In Indonesia

In March, the all-new, third generation (AH30) 2015 Toyota Alphard and Vellfire made its debut in Thailand and now, both models have made their debut in Indonesia.

The 2AR-FE 2.5-litre petrol engine makes its way into the Vellfire whereas the Alphard Hybrid gets the 2AR-FXE Dual VVT-i engine taken from the outgoing Camry and Camry Hybrid, sans the newer VVT-iW technology. Meanwhile a 2GR-FE V6 engine fines its way into the top of the line Alphard 3.5-litre.

Where the Toyota Vellfire 2.5-litre and Alphard 3.5-litre get a six-speed automatic transmission, the Alphard Hybrid is fitted with a planetary gearset E-CVT automatic.

Being a luxurious people mover, the Toyota Alphard and Alphard Hybrid feature Ottoman seats in the second row, a single moon roof, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 17 JBL speakers, 9-inch infotainment system for rear passengers, 'nanoe' triple zone air-conditioning system, keyless Smart Entry and reverse camera system. 

The Vellfire gets the same although the touchscreen infotainment system is replaced with a 7-inch unit with 8 speakers and 10.2-inch screen for rear passengers.
