Geneva 2017: Lexus to Unveil LS 500h
Berita KeretaHot on the heels of the Lexus LS 500 launch at the Detroit Motorshow is the new LS 500h slated for unveiling during the upcoming Geneva Motorshow. Lexus has not confirmed what the size of the engine will be or its state of tune, but you can probably expect some form of turbocharging and the latest iteration of hybrid technology from parent company Toyota. It's worth noting that this new LS 500h will have a smaller engine than the outgoing LS 600h, which featured a massive naturally aspirated 5.8-litre V8 with an accompanying hybrid system.
That being said, don't be so quick to write off the performance of the new LS 500h: Lexus is one of the few manufacturers that (as of yet) has maintained numbering based on displacement, with a slight increase when including hybrid systems. For example, the IS 250 features a 2.5-litre engine, while the IS 200t has a more potent turbocharged 2.0-litre engine; this could very well mean that the new LS 500h will pack more performance as well.
