Utama Berita Berita Kereta First Look At The (G82) BMW M4 In Malaysia – Check Out This Walkaround Video First Look At The (G82) BMW M4 In Malaysia – Check Out This Walkaround Video Berita Kereta Arvind | August 02, 2021 10:59 AM Take a first look at the all-new 2021 (G82) BMW M4 Competition in the flesh on Malaysian soil. One of the first few officially imported units of the 2021 (G82) BMW M4 Competition has landed on Malaysian shores. Thanks to local agent/broker Elton (who goes by Eltonator on FB and Youtube) we get to enjoy a walkaround video of an ‘Isle Of Man” green M4 that has been delivered to an authorised dealer, Wheelcorp Premium Setia Alam. Just in case you’re wondering, yes BMW Malaysia officially launched the G80 M3 and G82 M4 in Malaysia in December 2020, but perhaps due to supply details and well-documented delays in customs approvals, only now are these units reaching dealerships in Malaysia. Add to that, closures of showrooms under the current FMCO, this is as close we might get to see the cars up close until we see them being driven on the roads by happy owners anyway. The all-new BMW M3 Competition comes in at an estimated RM664,800 (RM722,800 with Innovation Package), the M4 Competition Coupe on the other hand is estimated to retail at RM684,800 (RM740,800 with the Innovation Package). Headlining the 2021 BMW M4 is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six mill that outputs 510hp and a peak torque of 650Nm in the Competition variant. The ‘regular’ M3 and M4 offer 480hp and 550Nm). The M3/M4 models are offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual, however the Competition variants as seen here, get the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission which routes power to the rear wheels through the Active M Differential. Other mechanical highlights of the M4 Competition model are the variable ration M Servotronic steering, Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) roof section and active rear exhaust system with quad (100mm) tailpipe tips. Much of the controversy surrounding the new M3 and M4 have been BMW’s new Kidney Grille design. In the early stages of the model’s introduction, vocal BMW fans expressed that it looked ugly and ruined the proportions of the car’s front end. However, in the video we get a closer view of how it somewhat does fit together with the rest of the car’s styling, and dare we say, it’s not too bad. The keen-eyed will spot that the M4 Competition model features a frameless grille which is blacked out for an extra dose of aggression. Small badges on the front grille, side scuttles and rear featuring the script ‘M4 Competition’ also set it apart from the base M4. On the inside, the M4 Competition features optionally offered carbon bucket seats at the front (the featured car isn’t equipped with it) but does offer the Carbon Fibre package which features interior trimmings clad in this most sporty of materials. In addition to the walkaround video, Eltonator has also made available a huge number of images of the G82 M4 Competition which you can access here.
