FA Cup Final Expected To Draw 80,000 Fans @ Bukit Jalil, So Use The LRT!

Fans of local footy action will be flocking to the Bukit Jalil National Stadium this Saturday evening to catch local side Kelantan take on Singapore’s LionsXII in the FA Cup 2015 final match.

With over 80,000 fans expected to flock to the Bukit Jalil stadium at the time, MyRapid has issued a statement requesting those travelling to the match to consider using its LRT services to avoid getting stuck in the expected traffic.

In light of this event, Rapid KL will be on site and monitoring the situation just in case LRT services will need to be extended beyond its normal operating hours, just to accommodate the day’s events, said Rapid KL spokesperson, Mr Mohd Rahimi Ahmad.

The use of the multi-storey parking lots at the Gombak and Ampang stations are recommended, allowing fans the chance to park and move easily. DBKL parking facilities are also available at Bandar Tasek Selatan and Sungai Besi, where LRT stations are located nearby.

For those looking to use the KTM service, Rahimi recommends a stop at Bandar Tasek Selatan, and then a transit to the LRT en route to the Bukit Jalil station.
