CKD 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 200, C 250 Price Revealed, From RM270k
Panduan PembeliBrought to our attention by Carlist.my reader Weng, it looks like we don’t have to wait on Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) to announced prices for its locally-assembled W 205 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class variants.
First launched in Malaysia as CBU (fully imported) units from South Africa, the all-new W 205 made its debut here at a starting price of RM286k for the C 200 Avantgarde, and RM315k for the C 250 Exclusive.
And as if those figures weren’t competitive enough, given the high value-for-money equipment and features, both locally-assembled C-Class variants will now see RM16k and RM15k price reductions. Here’s the new price list (both without insurance):
- C-Class C 200 Avantgarde: RM269,888
- C-Class C 250 Exclusive: RM299,888
How we’ve managed to get the new prices above? Well, as mentioned, it was brought to our attention by reader Weng, who spotted the new figures on Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s local website, under its “Malaysia My Second Home” programme. The local-government-backed initiative offers non-Malaysians special benefits such as excise duty and sales tax exemptions on the purchase of the C- and E-Class models, amongst other benefits.

But alongside the duty and tax exemptions, the new prices have been indicated, inclusive of GST, for private registration. The middle column shows the special Malaysia My Second Home prices, and the third, the envious savings you could have under this programme.
A quick chat with an MBM representative revealed that the prices are accurate to what they will unveil soon enough, and that the car won’t be specified all that differently to what we’ve seen available to the imported C 200 and C 250 variants.
