Datuk Mohd Najib said: "For the project in Taman Melati, it has been completed and the public can cycle from their residence to the Taman Melati LRT station,”"At Taman Metropolitan in Batu Kepong, it is 90% complete," he told reporters after attending the Hari Raya Aidilfitri 'dodol' making programme, held in conjunction with the KL Car Free Morning programme at Dataran DBKL today. Finally, he added that the larger plan had also been put in place to expand cycle path networks in Cheras and Wangsa Maju, as well.As well as the aim of reducing the number of cars on the road, the use of bicycles would encourage a healthier lifestyle among urban residents and will, hopefully, positively impact the air pollution levels in Kuala Lumpur should the practice be adopted widely.
