BMW Launches All-New 2018 X3 In Indonesia

Berita Kereta

For BMW, their X models have been a huge hit in the Indonesian market. Last year saw 45% of total BMW vehicle sales in the country being X models - a 21% increase over the previous year - and it is for that reason that BMW Indonesia decided to make 2018 the "Year of the X". The first X model launched this year for Indonesia comes in the form of the all-new X3, which we are expecting to see in our market very soon.

The X3 is offered in a singular xDrive20i variant, which comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that puts out 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque, along with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. Pricing for the X3 starts at Rp. 1,009,000,000 (roughly RM 285k) off-the-road, which we can only assume means without road tax or registration or insurance.

When it comes to equipment, the Indonesian X3 is far from bare. The Luxury Line is the singular trim level at launch, with 19-inch alloy rims and chrome treatment all round. The interior recieves leather and oak trim, as well as pearl chrome finishings. What's interesting is that the X3 is packaged with a 10.25 inch monitor in the centre, with the BMW Navigation System Professional that allows for voice commands in Bahasa

The car is locally-assembled in Indonesia - down to the engine itself - by PT Gaya Motor, which is BMW Indonesia's strategic partner. With this, they hope that they can meet the high demands for BMW X models and deliver models to consumers quickly.
