BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo Launched, Priced From RM 450,000

BMW Malaysia has just introduced the all-new 6 Series Gran Turismo, following the model’s regional introduction in Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.

Codenamed G32, the 6 Series Gran Turismo is aimed at people who want greater utility from their car, but at the same time don't want to compromise on driving dynamics by getting a taller SUV, or settle for a conservative looking wagon. It's a cross between a traditional wagon and a coupe. It's a slightly different concept from the previous taller riding 5 Series Gran Turismo. 

With the discontinuation of the 6 Series Gran Coupe here, this Gran Turismo model is the closest answer that BMW Group Malaysia has to the recently launched Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.

At the moment, BMW Group Malaysia will be carrying only 630i GT M Sport variant. It's powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that delivers 258 hp and 400 Nm, channeled to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The century sprint is completed in just 6.3 seconds.

Up front, the 630i GT features a pair of adaptive LED headlights that flank the signature BMW kidney grille. As for the sides, the trademark Hofmeister kink is found on the end of each rear window, but the key highlight is the sweeping down roofline that merges into the tail section. The rear end also features a rear spoiler that automatically deploys when the vehicle reaches 110 km/h. 20-inch double spoke 648 M alloy wheels complete the exterior of the 630i GT.

Colour options include Alpine White, Bluestone, Carbon Black, and Sophisto Grey. Buyers who opt for the Carbon Black or the Sophisto Grey models can spec their 630i GT with the Cognac Dakota leather upholstery as well.

The locally-assembled new BMW 630i GT retails for an estimated RM450,000 and inclusive of BMW's 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Program, their 2-Year/24 Month Tyre Warranty Program, BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile App and BMW White Card, and BMW Service Online. It is the ninth locally-assembled BMW/MINI model in the country.
