All-New Toyota Corolla Altis Set For August Debut In Thailand

The all-new twelfth-generation Toyota Corolla Altis is set for an August debut in Thailand, according to headlightmag.

According to the site and recent spyshots, the Thai market Altis will look similar to the FAW Toyota version of the Corolla sedan. The FAW Toyota version of the Corolla sedan is one of the three global faces of the new Corolla sedan. 

Similar to the all-new Camry and C-HR, the all-new Corolla Altis is built on the company’s TNGA platform. However, unlike the more sophisticated double wishbone rear suspension set-up found in the Camry and C-HR, the Corolla Altis gets a simpler multi-link set-up. Despite that, the multi-link set-up is still an improvement over the outgoing model’s rear torsion beam configuration.

Globally, the all-new Toyota Corolla sedan is available with a range of petrol engines. For the Thailand market model, headlightmag speculates that the engine choices will include a 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre petrol, while a 1.8-litre hybrid could be offered at a later date.
