All-New Porsche Cayenne Previewed In Malaysia
Berita KeretaSime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the official importer and distributor of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia has previewed the all-new third generation Porsche Cayenne. The model is available for bookings but Porsche's flagship five-seater SUV is only expected to be launched here in the third quarter of this year, with prices estimated to start from the RM800,000 mark.
Thanks to a new lightweight mix of aluminium and steel body, the all-new Cayenne is now up to 65 kg lighter, depending on specifications. Additionally, the new platform also hosts a number of advanced technologies, like Porsche 4D Chassis Control, electronic roll stabilization and rear wheel steering.

Additionally, the Cayenne S can be had with the Sport Chrono Package, which adds a launch control function that shaves about 0.2 seconds off the Cayenne S' acceleration from 0-100 km/h, bringing it down to 4.9 seconds.
Elsewhere, Malaysia-bound models are expected to feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Parking Assist and Anticipatory Pedestrian Protection. Other optional items include LED headlights with Matrix beam, Night Vision Assist, Lane Keeping Assistant, ParkAssist Plus with Remote Parking and Manuevering assistant with rim protection. The latter is only available on 2019 model year vehicles onwards, and needs to be used in conjunction with the Porsche Connect app.
“The new Cayenne promises to be more Porsche and more Cayenne than ever. Our primary objective was to further highlight the character of the vehicle. The new Cayenne is now more precise, elegant, athletic and expressive,” said Arnt Bayer, CEO of Sime Darby Auto Performance.
