All-New 2017 Mitsubishi Expander Front End Unmasked
Berita KeretaSpyshot of Mitsubishi's all-new seven-seater has surfaced, thanks to our sister site Otospirit. Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia will be unveiling its new MPV at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) later this month. The new model from Mitsubishi was earlier called XM, though the actual production model is expected to be named Expander.
The company had earlier teased the new MPV's front end, side profile and rear end.
Featured prominently in front is Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield corporate design, with a large angular chrome piece extending from the headlights to the bottom half of the bumper. At a glance, it may appear that the headlights are unusually small, though the actual headlights are positioned at the very edge of the bumper, just above the turn signals. Daytime running lights are positioned at the ends of the front grille, giving the Mitsubishi Expander a unique exterior. A pair of front foglights can be found at the bottom of the bumper.
Aimed squarely at the entry-level seven-seater market, the new Mitsubishi Expander is expected to arrive with a 1.5-litre petrol engine with power sent to the front wheels. It's key rivals, including the Honda BR-V, Toyota Avanza and Suzuki Ertiga also feature similar capacity engines.
The new Mitsubishi Expander could be rebadged as the next-generation Nissan Grand Livina as well, seeing that Nissan holds a 34% stake in Mitsubishi.
