2019 Audi A4 S Line Competition Pack Previewed, Q3 Release In Germany

Audi has previewed a more striking look for their A4 mid-sized sedan. The new look features the redesigned front bumper and grille as well as rear bumper, together with a new ‘S line competition’ equipment package that is making its debut in the A4 model.

Several designs of the company’s new ‘Singleframe’ grille now differentiate between the trim levels. In the ‘S line’ package, the grille painted in gloss black will feature slats with a 3D look. Lower corners of the bumper also feature a new U-shaped design, as opposed to the ‘half-H’ motif with silver highlights of the current model.

The rear bumper’s new design now integrates wide trapezoidal exhaust outlets at both corners as opposed to cut-outs for round exhaust tailpipes. The space between the two exhaust outlets has been textured with a diffuser-look. A gloss black trim surrounding this lower portion further emphasizes the dynamism of the design.  

Meanwhile, the ‘S line competition’ has ‘selenite silver’ highlights on the horizontal bars as well as the overall surround of the front grille. The U-shaped lower corner trim pieces are also more visible as they are now painted in the same silver as the grille. The company logo's four rings will also appear on the lower section of the rear door, in either silver or black, depending on exterior colour. The wheel designs have also been updated and Avant (wagon) models will also receive an RS spoiler on the tailgate.  

In the interior, the ‘S line competition’ builds on the ‘S line’ black interior package, supplementing it with RS carbon inlays and black partial leather sports seats.

Audi will commence pre-sales of the 2019 A4 from the third quarter of this year, in its home market of Germany first. 

Back in Malaysia, local distributor Audi Malaysia offers the 'S line' package on only the 2.0 TFSI variants. Customers can further add the Tech package which consists of the Virtual Cockpit digital display, matrix LED head lamps and smartphone interface.
