2018 Volkswagen Polo Leaked Ahead Of Official Debut
Berita KeretaThe 2018 Volkswagen Polo is expected to make a global debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but cars.co.za has already posted photos of the next-generation model.
Like all current Volkswagen models, the 2018 Volkswagen Polo will be based on the MQB platform, replacing the outgoing model's PQ25 platform. Thanks to the new platform, dimensions are also larger than its predecessor although weight may be 70 kg lighter.
Engine wise, Volkswagen is likely going to offer its range of petrol and diesel engines, both in naturally-aspirated and turbocharged flavours mated to manual and DSG transmissions. The hotter Polo GTI could reuse its predecessor's 1.8-litre lump, albeit with a bump in power output.
We can also expect Volkswagen to introduce a much more upmarket interior for the Polo in order to keep its smallest model competitive. Keeping in line with its siblings, Volkswagen could offer features from its more expensive models, like Active Info Display, improved infotainment systems plus keyless entry with push start button.Further details will be made available once the model goes official in the coming months.
