Utama Berita Berita Kereta 2017 Mazda 2 Facelift Introduced For Thai Market – Now With G-Vectoring Control 2017 Mazda 2 Facelift Introduced For Thai Market – Now With G-Vectoring Control Berita Kereta Arvind | February 16, 2017 12:29 PM The Mazda 2, B-Segment hatchback has received it mid-life update for the Thai market, cosmetic changes are minimal, however, the new Mazda 2 now receives the G-Vectoring Control system and better allocation of features across the range.At the front, the fasciae are largely the same, except for the fog lamp covers which add chrome accents. Otherwise, the outlook from the front and sides are largely the same. The same goes for the rear end of the hatchback or saloon. On the inside, the facelifted car is finished in a new trim colour on the dashboard and door panels. The air-conditioning vents also visibly have copper coloured accents now.The two engine choices remain the same; a ‘Skyactiv-G’ 1.3-litre petrol inline four outputting 93hp and 123Nm of torque and Skyactiv-D 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 105hp and 250Nm of torque.The main highlight, however, is the addition of Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control which is a software that detects steering angle and carefully modulates engine torque between the driven wheels to improve turn-in response and off-centre balance.The system took eight years of development, and for the Thai market, the Mazda 2 is the second model, after the Mazda 3 to receive the technology update.Separately, Bangkok Post reports, that the facelifted diesel engines have been improved to reduce turbo lag and be quieter at cruising speeds now.Safety features such as dual front airbags and traction and stability control systems are standard across the range.
