2017 Lexus LS to Be On Display at the NAIAS

The modern luxury marque has many different kinds of fans with different expectations, and as a result there can be many different 'flagship' models. What people perceive to be the flagship model depends heavily on their taste: for some the M3 may be the pinnacle of BMW's engineering, while others may view the 7 Series as that pinnacle. Lexus has gone through a great deal of evolution over the last decade or so, with a product range that is truly diverse and exciting. But if we look back to what really started it all, it's the LS that gave Lexus its incredible claim to fame. 

After over a decade, the current generation Lexus LS finally has a successor. It is said to have a coupe-like silhouette with even more interior room- two concepts that don't usually jive together but we'll see how Lexus pulls it off. The LS will sit on and extended version of Lexus' GA-L platform, their global architecture for luxury rear wheel drive vehicles and shared with the upcoming Lexus LC coupe. It's interesting thath they mention the new LS will offer a dynamic driving experience, because those familiar with the Sport variant of the current Lexus LS can agree that it has some rather surprising dynamic qualities. It will be revealed in full at next month's North American International Auto Show, and we can hardly wait.
