2017 Honda Jazz Brochure Leaked, No New 1.0 Turbo Engine
Berita KeretaThe upcoming Honda Jazz facelift has allegedly leaked in a set of images, likely from a brochure. The car was earlier spied here.
According to the source, Honda Japan is expected to launch the model in June.
Changes up front is noticeable, with a restyled bumper featured prominently on the Jazz facelift. Headlight design appears to look identical to the outgoing model, though the light cluster could receive a new design. Also noticeable on the new Jazz facelift is a chrome strip that flows from the headlights into the bottom of the front grille.
Side profile remains largely unchanged, with similar looking 16-inch alloy wheels adorning the Jazz. Sportier variants of the updated Honda Jazz could get black side mirrors as well.
As for the rear end, changes to the rear bumper and tail light cluster set the Jazz facelift apart from the model it replaces. The leaked images aren't clear, but it looks like that the Jazz facelift could receive a rear diffuser on some variants.
The source also added that new colours will be introduced alongside the Jazz facelift, including Wine Red, Gun Metal and Light Blue. On top of that, the Honda Jazz facelift will get Honda Sensing as an option, which will add Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Active Cruise Control and Collision Mitigation Braking System. Ride comfort and fuel economy is also said to have been enhanced.
Curiously, there was no mention of the rumoured 1.0-litre VTEC Turbo engine, suggesting that Honda may not offer the Jazz with a turbocharged engine.
Back home, Honda Malaysia teased us with some of their upcoming products, one of it being the Honda Sport Hybrid powertrain with Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive (i-DCD), hinting that the Jazz Hybrid could see a return here.
