For the first time ever, Honda Thailand is offering a turbodiesel engine for the CR-V. The new engine is a 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbodiesel that delivers 160 hp and 350 Nm that is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Honda says that the new i-DTEC mill can deliver up to 18.9 km/L. Apart from the turbodiesel, Honda is also offering a naturally-aspirated 2.4-litre petrol i-VTEC engine with 173 hp and 224 Nm. The petrol mill is also E85-compatible. Similar to the Civic, Honda has dropped its five-speed automatic in favour of their CVT for the petrol variant.
