2016 US-Spec Chevrolet Cruze Dashboard Previewed In CarPlay Promo Video
Berita KeretaIn a video demonstrating the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze’s support for Apple CarPlay, General Motors has revealed its production-spec dashboard design ahead of its North American debut on June 24th in Detroit, Michigan.
From what we’re able to glean from the brief video, the second generation Cruze will feature a dash layout quite similar to that of the China-only variant, sans the bronze colour trim – although that might be available as an option nonetheless.
We’ll let you be the judge on the merits of its looks, althought to us, it does look like a step in the right direction, and Chevrolet has made clear its intention of embracing new technologies, such as in-car connectivity and infotainment, that are typical of more premium marques.
General Motors also teased exterior for the US-spec Cruze when it’s launch date was made known. We’ve delved deeper into what you can expect in our previous story here.
Powertrain details are not confirmed, and we’ll know the full engine and transmission options once the Cruze makes its US unveil. But from the China-spec Cruze, there are a 1.5-litre 110hp unit as well as a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit with 146hp.
The base engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic while top cut 1.4 turbo gets either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
