2016 Ford Mustang Opens For Bookings In Malaysia: From RM435k

Sime Darby Auto Connexion, the official distributors of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has just confirmed prices for its all-new 2016 Ford Mustang, as well as opened the order bookings for the two variants.

• 2.3-litre EcoBoost Fastback: RM435,000 to RM450,000
• 5.0-litre V8 Fastback: RM550,000 to RM560,000

The two variants, previewed earlier at the Publika shopping mall, are expected to be in Malaysian showrooms come December 2015.

Veemala Rethinasamy, sales and marketing director, Malaysia, Ford Motor Company, said, “This 2.3-litre EcoBoost fastback is a perfect fit for Malaysia, because it delivers the legendary power and performance that a Mustang driver expects, while addressing today’s demands for exceptional fuel efficiency, and all with head-turning style.”

The 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-pot delivers 310hp and a total 434Nm of torque, establishing its century sprint in 4.3 seconds.

For those with the means, the 5.0-litre V8 is also being made available, together with its 435hp when mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Both variants of the sixth-gen Mustang will come from Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in the US as full CBU units, and will be available in five colour options: Oxford White, Shadow Black, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic Grey and Race Red. A special Triple Yellow Tri-Coat colour is also available for the 5.0-litre V8 variant.

Tech features of the ‘Stang’ includes Ford’s Intelligent Access, SYNC2 connectivity system, and Ford’s MyKey system.
